In the last couple of weeks, Google has been releasing a lot of changes to Search Console. This is another blunder that google in now demonstrating dating from start of March. These changes range from cross-domain analytics to new enhancements. While most of these changes haven’t had much of an impact on users, the addition of the “Products” enhancement has created a headache for nearly every E-Commerce based website.
Here’s a mistake which has fired appearing for a ton of Online stores especially on WooCommerce stores specifically in Search console
If you found an error stating that Either “offers”, “review”, or “aggregateRating” should be specified don’t be panic.
You can also able to see a broad range of warnings, including Missing field “images”, Missing field “SKU”, Missing Field “description”, and more.
So if these type of error arises and you are using an ecommerce based website, you should create proper schema for missing fields. (Check warning message and fix.)
But if you are not running any ecommerce site and error appears then follow the below solution. Or error appears for category page of your site.
Here’s the solution!
Add this snippet in your functions.php file under WordPress Dashbaord –> Appearance –> Theme Editor
Once you have placed the above snippet, Go to your Google Search Console and look out for Enhancement –> Product in sidebar menu.
You can found the error stating “Either “offers”, “review”, or “aggregateRating” should be specified “.
Click on the error link and it will drag you to the next page with detailed report view. You can find the button as VALIDATE FIX. Just do validation fix and wait for 1 or 2 days so that the error will be fixed.
